How it works

Five steps, no change to your workflow

A practitioner presses the foot switch while the Orthostand platform rises with the client standing on it. The practitioner sits down on a stool with the legs tucked under the raised platform. The practitioner treats the foot while seated upright, forearms resting on the platform and the back neutral. The platform lowers while practitioner and client talk through the findings. The Orthostand is rolled across the floor on its castors to another part of the room.

A press of the foot switch. While the platform rises, the consultation begins.

Seated comfortably, legs under the platform. No kneeling, no bending.

Neutral spine, arms supported, eyes at the correct distance.

As the platform lowers, you summarise findings and arrange the next appointment.

Orthostand rolls easily between rooms. Reposition it or clear the space, without effort.

What sets it apart

The only workstation that assesses the foot under load

Most elevating chairs raise the client seated, with the feet floating in mid air. Convenient, but clinically incomplete. The foot only shows its true behaviour when it carries body weight.

A client sits in a raised chair with the feet hanging free, the foot examined without carrying any body weight.
Seated, unloaded
The same client stands on the Orthostand platform, the foot flattening under full body weight while it is examined.
Standing, loaded

Drag to compare

Arch collapse, hindfoot valgus, forefoot splay, pressure distribution, gait deviations: all of it becomes visible only when the client stands. Seated examination shows the foot at rest. Standing examination shows the foot at work.

What changes for you

Benefits from the first session, compounding over a career

  • Your back stays neutral. The client comes up to you, so there is nothing to lean over.
  • Your shoulders drop. Your arms rest on the platform instead of holding themselves up.
  • Your knees are out of the equation entirely. You are seated, not kneeling.
